About Joe

Joe Watson is an engineer and business owner with 30 years of experience in the Bujinkan martial arts. He first came to the practice in 1993 after a back injury left him unable to do regular exercise. His first instructor was Marc Moor, who now teaches in Gloucester as Budo Warrior Schools.

Over the years, he has been lucky enough to go to a number of Taikai’s (training seminars with the Grand Master, Dr Maasaki Hatsumi) and even travelled to Japan in 2010 to further hone his craft. Shortly after the trip, he took over his local dojo, teaching in the local leisure centre and later in the training room above his business. This is where you can find the Bujinkan Cotswold Dojo today.

Joe has learned so much from practicing ninjutsu and Bujinkan martial arts that it has even inspired him to write a book on the subject.
